GLOBEX VPN Review — Written by the People Who Build It

Searching for a GLOBEX VPN review, or an old Bolt VPN review? Here is the honest version, straight from the team — including the parts a marketing page would leave out.

Why we wrote our own review

Most review pages you find for VPN apps are either affiliate sites paid to rank products, or pages written by the vendor pretending to be neutral. We would rather be upfront: this page is written by the GLOBEX team, about our own app. Because you have every reason to be skeptical of that, we hold ourselves to one rule here — every claim on this page is either verifiable by you in under a minute, or it is clearly labelled as our own opinion.

The single most useful fact we can give you is this: GLOBEX VPN holds a 4.8-star rating on Google Play (July 2026). We did not choose that number — the people who installed the app did, one review at a time, and you can check it yourself on the store listing right now. We do not quote a review count here because we have not independently verified one, and we do not reprint individual user reviews, because cherry-picking the flattering ones is exactly the practice we want to avoid.

One more thing worth saying early: if you found this page while searching for a Bolt VPN review, you are reading about the same app. Bolt VPN was renamed GLOBEX VPN — same team, same servers, same store listing. The rebrand page explains the name change in full.

What GLOBEX VPN does well

The free tier is the honest headline. Unlimited bandwidth, no daily data cap, and no speed cap tied to payment. There is no signup, no account, and no credit card required — you install the app and connect. The free tier runs on the same 8 connection protocols as Premium, so free users are not handed a stripped-down engine.

The protocol engine is the part we are proudest of. GLOBEX connects over 8 protocols, including IKEv2, Shadowsocks, V2Ray/Reality, Hysteria2, and OpenVPN, and it works through them automatically to find a connection that actually establishes on your network. That matters most on restrictive networks — the app is engineered for networks where ordinary VPN protocols are blocked, which is why censorship-resistant protocols like Reality and Hysteria2 are in the lineup.

Finally, there is no device arithmetic: unlimited devices on all plans, and a global server network on the free tier, with Premium adding priority server access, an ad-free experience, and priority support.

Where it falls short — the honest part

Android only, for now

GLOBEX VPN is currently an Android app, distributed through Google Play. iOS and Windows versions are planned, but we will not promise dates we cannot keep. If you need a VPN on your iPhone or PC today, we are not yet the right choice — that is the plain truth.

The free tier shows ads

Unlimited free bandwidth has to be paid for somehow, and our answer is occasional ads rather than data caps or speed throttling. If ads bother you, Premium removes them entirely — but we would rather tell you about the ads here than have you discover them after install.

A young brand name

The GLOBEX name is new, because the app was recently renamed from Bolt VPN. A new name means less name recognition, and we understand if that makes you pause. Our answer is transparency: the trust page lays out who runs the company and what we do and do not collect.

How to verify us — do not take our word for it

A review page written by the vendor is only worth anything if you can check it. Here is how, in a couple of minutes:

  • Open the GLOBEX VPN listing on Google Play and read the real user reviews — the critical ones included. The rating you see there is the only rating we cite anywhere on this site.
  • Install the free tier and test it yourself. There is no signup and no credit card, so trying the app costs you nothing but a few minutes — you can even measure your connection first on our speed test page.
  • Read our privacy policy and trust page to see exactly what data the app does and does not collect, stated in plain language.

If something on this page does not match what you find on the Google Play listing or inside the app, tell us at support@globexvpn.com — we mean it. An honest review page that drifts out of date stops being honest.

GLOBEX VPN review — common questions

Where does the GLOBEX VPN 4.8 rating come from?
It is the public rating on our Google Play listing as of July 2026. We do not run our own review system and we do not publish hand-picked testimonials — you can open the Play Store listing and read the reviews, good and bad, exactly as users wrote them.
Is this review independent?
No — this page is written by the GLOBEX team about our own app, and we say so plainly. That is why we focus on verifiable facts, link you to the Google Play listing, and list the genuine trade-offs (Android-only, occasional ads on the free tier) instead of only the strengths.
Are Bolt VPN reviews still relevant to GLOBEX VPN?
Yes. Bolt VPN was renamed GLOBEX VPN — it is the same app, the same team, and the same Google Play listing, so older reviews written under the Bolt VPN name describe the same product.
Does the free plan really have no data cap?
Yes. The free tier has unlimited bandwidth with no daily data cap and no speed cap tied to payment, supported by occasional ads. All 8 connection protocols are available on the free tier, the same as Premium.
